The Course
Bootleg Boogie is run on a 12.5-mile loop featuring approximately 1,875 feet of climbing and descent per lap.
The course is punchy but fair. There are no extraordinarily long or severe climbs, and no reckless descents — but the terrain is steadily rolling and demands consistency. The elevation accumulates gradually, rewarding smart pacing and steady effort over time.
Consistent effort. Thoughtful pacing. Strong finish.
The loop format allows runners to settle into a rhythm while providing frequent access to aid, crew, and spectators at the centralized start/finish area.
This is a course designed to be approachable for first-time ultra runners while still offering a meaningful challenge for experienced athletes.
For athletes who anticipate needing additional time, an early-start option (beginning anytime after 12:00 AM on race day) is available with Race Director approval.
| Distance | Loops | Elevation Gain | Start Time |

| 50 Miles | 4 loops | ~7,500 ft | 7:00 AM |
| Half Marathon | 1 loop | ~1,875 ft | 8:00 AM |
Prize Money — 100 Mile
The athletes directly grow the purse. Every registration above 100 adds $100 to the prize pool.
Bootleg Boogie features a $5,000 guaranteed base purse for the 100 Mile distance. Once 100 athletes are registered, $100 is added to the pool for every additional 100-mile entrant.
Prize money will be awarded to the top overall male and female finishers. Full payout breakdown will be published prior to race weekend.
All athletes must start the course at the official 100 Mile start time (6:30 AM) to be eligible for prize money. Early start athletes are not eligible.
Final prize pool totals will be announced once registration closes.
